Just yesterday Jeff and Jacky Clyman invited my dear friend Paul, Whitney and I to visit the American Airpower Museum for the annual flight show and festivities. Needless to say the day was one I shall never forget!
The Flying Fortress, Sherman tank, Flying Tigers and the Heavy Artillery were positioned strategically for interaction purposes, honoring our veterans. The American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport,1230 New Highway, Farmingdale, opening its doors from May 24th through the 28th, the AAM features legends of Airpower and Armor all MemorialDay weekend. Proudly sponsored by Cockpit USA, I can’t thank Jeff and Jacky enough for having us up!
Saturday proved to be an honorable success complete with an iconic flight show followed by big band sounds, and a nostalgic dance. A storm could not keep the Clymans from celebrating Memorial Day Weekend. Once clear for take off, I was buckled into a B-25 bomber having no idea what lay ahead. After crawling between small spaces to the nose of this timeless aircraft, the view was divine and I landed feeling like a million bucks!
Keeping true to their mission of preserving American history, the museum is mostly occupied by veterans and volunteers. I personally suggest paying a visit to the American Air Power Museum to honor our Veterans and their heroic efforts for Memorial Day Weekend- Adult admission is $20, Senior/Veteran (with ID) is $15, children are $8, children three and under are free.
I must give a special thanks to Mike Kennedy, Pedro Sanchez, and all of the volunteers who made my visit a memorable one!
Please see the playful footage captured at the museum by my Paul Zansler and myself.
Whenever a lad as fabulous as fashion connoisseur Matthew Grimsley unveils his work, such as the announcement of Prince Magazine’s launch, it is sure to be a success. His request for my support was also a moment quite flattering indeed.
Earlier this week the handsome publication debuted its premiere issue with editorial coverage featuring CFDA award winning Timo Weiland, style editorials such as Prints Charming, Enlighten Your Sole and a striking trend report on cobalt blue. To complete the dapper publication are articles on men’s grooming and seven weeks to perfect the perfect body.
The Love at War editorial shined particularly bright, as the efforts of Cockpit USA & The American Air Power Museum provided wardrobe and location. We could not be more pleased with Matthews take on our heritage and Americana lifestyle.
I feel as though I must mention, I completely blushed upon reading Matthew’s special thank you and I look forward to future collaborations. Please see some images pulled from the debut issue and be sure to subscribe to Prince Magazine.
